Our Annapurna Circuit Motorcycle Adventure blends epic high-altitude riding with the timeless rhythm of mountain life, following ancient trade routes that wind through deep valleys, high desert plateaus and snow-capped passes.

From subtropical forests to the stark, otherworldly landscapes of Mustang, every day brings a dramatic change in scenery and perspective.

This adventure is like no other. We’ve teamed up with some of the finest trekking guides in Nepal to offer an unforgettable crossing of the legendary Thorong La Pass. At over 5,400 metres, this epic ridge is a true Himalayan challenge — demanding, humbling, and immensely rewarding. It is not for the faint-hearted, but for those who take it on, the experience is extraordinary.

Prefer to stay on two wheels? No problem. If trekking isn’t your thing, we continue the journey by motorcycle, riding our trusty Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc machines through some of the most dramatic high-altitude terrain Nepal has to offer.

HIGHLIGHTS

​We begin by riding deep into the Annapurna region, following rivers, climbing through switchbacks and carving along mountain roads that feel purpose-built for adventure motorcycles. Villages cling to hillsides, prayer flags snap in the wind, and the peaks of Annapurna II, III and Gangapurna dominate the skyline.
In Manang, we pause to acclimatise — a beautiful stone village set beneath towering icefalls and glaciers. It’s a place where time slows, altitude is respected, and stories are shared over hot tea as the mountains loom above.
From Manang, riders have the option to leave the bikes behind and trek across the legendary Thorong La Pass (5,416m) — one of the highest mountain passes in the world. Supported by experienced guides and porters, this optional trek allows you to experience the Annapurna Circuit as it was originally intended: step by step, breath by breath, immersed in the silence and scale of the high Himalaya.

Descending into the Mustang region, the landscape transforms into a high-altitude desert. Here lies Muktinath, one of Nepal’s most sacred pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. Surrounded by barren hills and distant snow peaks, it’s a place of reflection, reverence and quiet power — a fitting reward after the challenges of altitude and terrain.

16th November, - Leave the UK for Nepal

17th November, day one - arrive in Kathmandu: Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our team will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day is yours to unwind after your journey — relax at the hotel, explore the surrounding streets, or simply take in the atmosphere of Nepal’s vibrant capital. This evening, we come together for a welcome dinner, where you’ll meet your fellow riders and the RAMS Adventures team, and begin your Himalayan journey properly.

18th November, day two - Kathmandu to Ghorka (Via Nuwakot): 145kms Begin your motorcycle adventure with a scenic ride northwest toward the historic town of Gorkha. The road winds through the beautiful hill town of Nuwakot, home to a centuries-old palace and rich Newari culture, before continuing through a patchwork of rural villages, terraced hillsides and river valleys that showcase the diversity of central Nepal. By late afternoon, arrive in Gorkha — birthplace of the Gorkha kings and a cornerstone of Nepalese history. Take time to explore the town and soak up its heritage before settling into your hotel for the night.

19th November, day three - Ghorka to Besisahar (via Bandipur): 90kms After breakfast, we set off toward Besisahar, the gateway to the legendary Annapurna Circuit. En route, we make a worthwhile stop in Bandipur, a beautifully preserved hilltop town renowned for its traditional Newari architecture, cobbled streets and sweeping mountain views. Take time to wander through its charming lanes, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy lunch before continuing the ride as the road drops steadily downhill into the Marsyangdi Valley. By late afternoon, arrive in Besisahar, where the Annapurna adventure truly begins.
Overnight: Besisahar (780m)

20th November, day four - Besisahar to Chame: 65kms Gear up for an exhilarating off-road ride as we push deeper into the Annapurna region. The route climbs steadily along the Marsyangdi Valley, weaving past cascading waterfalls, dense pine forests and remote mountain villages. With every metre gained, the scenery becomes more dramatic — steep valley walls, snow-dusted peaks and prayer flags marking the way. By late afternoon, arrive in Chame, a beautiful mountain village framed by towering Himalayan giants.
Overnight: Chame (2,650m)

21st November, day five - Chame to Manang 30kms Continue the ascent through high alpine terrain as the landscape opens into wide valleys and dramatic mountain vistas on the approach to Manang. The ride delivers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges, with glaciers and icefalls clearly visible as you climb higher. Set at altitude, Manang is a traditional village with strong Tibetan influence, offering a fascinating insight into the lives, culture and resilience of the mountain people. Spend the evening exploring the village, visiting local bakeries and monasteries, or simply relaxing and acclimatising while surrounded by some of the finest scenery in the Himalaya.
Overnight: Manang (3,520m).

22nd November, day six - trekking group, Manang acclimatisation day Today is dedicated to acclimatisation in the beautiful mountain village of Manang. Set beneath towering Himalayan peaks, Manang provides the ideal environment to rest, recover and allow the body to adapt to the altitude. There is time to explore the village, visit the Himalayan Rescue Association for a short altitude briefing, or take an optional hike to Gangapurna Lake or the viewpoint above the village, offering breathtaking panoramas across the Annapurna range. This planned rest day plays a vital role in maximising safety and greatly increases the chances of a comfortable and successful crossing of the Thorong La Pass.

22nd November, day six - riding group, Manang to Chame 30kms
After a restful morning in Manang, we begin the ride back down to Chame, retracing our route through the high alpine landscape. The descent offers a fresh perspective on terrain already covered, with new angles on glaciers, valleys and towering peaks. There’s no rush today — take your time, enjoy the flow of the road, and soak in the quiet beauty of the mountains as the altitude gradually drops. By afternoon, arrive back in Chame for a well-earned rest.
Overnight: Chame (2,650m)

23rd November, day seven - trekking group, Manang to Yak Kharda: 4-5 hours After a restful day in Manang, the trail gently climbs out of the Marsyangdi Valley, winding through alpine meadows and yak pastures. As the ascent continues toward Yak Kharka, the terrain grows more rugged and vegetation thins, offering a true high-altitude experience. Stunning panoramas of the Annapurna and Chulu ranges accompany you throughout the day, while keen eyes may spot blue sheep and other Himalayan wildlife grazing along the slopes.
Overnight: Yak Kharka (4,020m)
23rd November, day seven - riding group, Chame to Bandipur: 120kms
Retrace your route back down to the lowlands and ride toward the cultural gem of Bandipur. The descent offers a delightful change in scenery, with winding roads through dense forests, terraced hillsides, and charming villages. Arriving in Bandipur, you’ll be greeted by its rich heritage, well-preserved traditional architecture, and tranquil mountain-town ambiance — the perfect place to unwind and explore.

24th November, day eight - trekking group, Yak Kharda to Throng Phedi: 4-5 hours Today’s trek takes you deeper into high alpine terrain as you approach the base of the Thorong La Pass. The trail climbs along a steep ridge before descending to cross a rustic wooden bridge over the Jarsang Khola. After a final uphill push, you arrive at Thorong Phedi, a small settlement that serves as the staging point for the pass crossing. Take the evening to rest and acclimatise — an early start awaits for tomorrow’s epic ascent.

24th November, day eight - riding group, Bandipur to Tatopani hot springs: 180kms Depart Bandipur and head west along a mix of paved and rugged roads toward Tatopani. Nestled beside the Kali Gandaki River, this village is renowned for its natural hot springs — the perfect reward after a long day of riding. Arrive in the afternoon and take a well-earned soak in the rejuvenating thermal waters, letting the warm spring melt away the miles and fatigue.

25th November, day nine - trekking group, Throng Phedi to Muktinath: 6 - 7 hours Today is the most challenging — and ultimately rewarding — day of the trek. Starting early in the morning, you ascend steadily toward Thorong La Pass, one of the highest trekking passes in the world. The climb is demanding, with thin air testing both body and mind, but the panoramic views from the summit, stretching across the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, make every step worthwhile. After taking in the vistas and a quick photo opportunity, begin the descent to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Here, the serene desert landscape and holy temples provide a profound contrast to the challenges of the pass, offering the perfect moment to reflect on your achievement.
Overnight: Muktinath (3,760m)
25th November, day nine, riding group, Tatopani hot springs to Muktinath: 80kms Ascend toward one of Nepal’s most sacred destinations — Muktinath. Set against a backdrop of stark, rugged mountains, this revered pilgrimage site offers both spiritual and visual awe. Your ride takes you through the arid Mustang region, where Tibetan-influenced culture meets breathtaking high-altitude landscapes. Upon arrival, explore the Muktinath Temple and the surrounding monastery area, taking in the unique architecture, prayer flags, and serene atmosphere that make this site so special.

26th November, day ten - Muktinath to Marpha: 30kms Everyone back on the bikes as we begin our descent from Muktinath to the picturesque village of Marpha, renowned for its apple orchards and charming stone-paved streets. Nestled in the Mustang region, Marpha exudes a unique blend of tradition and tranquility. Spend a leisurely afternoon exploring the village alleys, visiting local shops, and sampling delicious apple-based products, from fresh fruit to local spirits and pastries.
Overnight: Marpha (2,566m)

27th November, day eleven - Marpha to Pokhara: 145kms Conclude your motorbike journey with a scenic ride back to Pokhara. As you descend, enjoy the dramatic change from the stark, high-altitude landscapes of Mustang to the lush greenery and vibrant life of the Pokhara Valley. Arrive in this lakeside city to celebrate the end of your adventure. Take the afternoon to unwind with a relaxing massage, stroll along Phewa Lake, or enjoy a sunset dinner by the water, reflecting on the epic journey you’ve just completed.
Overnight: Pokhara (822m)

28th November, day twelve - Pokhara rest day: Enjoy a day at leisure in the lakeside city of Pokhara. Take a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake, visit the serene World Peace Pagoda, or simply relax at one of the many cafés overlooking the water. For those seeking a little adventure, optional activities such as paragliding, zip-lining, or short hikes can be arranged, offering a perfect mix of relaxation and exhilaration.

29th November, day thirteen - Pokhara fly to Kathmandu: After breakfast, board a scenic flight back to Kathmandu, taking in stunning aerial views of the Himalaya along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy some time to rest or explore nearby sights at your leisure. In the evening, join the group for a special cultural dinner featuring traditional music and dance — a memorable way to celebrate the conclusion of your unforgettable Himalayan adventure. Overnight: Kathmandu.

30th November, day fourteen - Kathmandu:  
Today the day is free to relax. Here you can opt for a sightseeing tour, shopping or relax on own. In the evening we will immerse ourselves in the flavours of Nepal with a delectable dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant. This three-hour experience promises not only a feast for your taste buds but also a cultural journey into the heart of Nepal. Delight in the richness of Nepalese cuisine while being captivated by the enchanting music and dances from diverse ethnic groups, all showcased on a single mesmerizing stage.

We will arrange to meet you approximately 3 hours before you takeoff and take you to the airport.
