Coronavirus Covid- 19
With the increase in the threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19), please be assured that RAMS Adventures are prioritising the safety of their customers and team whilst ensuring that we adhere to advice given by the appropriate authorities. This applies to any country we are visiting in 2020.
We have already taken proactive steps by carefully monitoring government websites and NHS advice, as well as information from the World Health Organisation (WHO) to safeguard all of our customers. We are also speaking with our local sponsors in country which ensures we have up to date news on whether they have closed their borders to overseas travellers.
In the context of outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Vietnam Government has applied stricter regulations regarding entry, and travel of the foreigners in Vietnam in order to prevent spread of such epidemic throughout Vietnam, ensure safety for both Vietnamese and foreigners themselves.
At this moment in time we are planning to run each of our adventures around the world and will keep everyone who is booked on a trip informed about the impact on travel.
Update 15th November 2021:
There have been a few reduction of restrictions in entering Vietnam, Laos and Africa over the last few weeks however we are still planning on returning to Vietnam next season, September. This way we can ensure that following the ease of restrictions all attractions, villages and areas of Vietnam and Laos will be open to gain that full experience. Africa at the moment is looking to be going ahead in Spring 2022.
Update 22nd February 2021:
Following the announcement by the government this week we will be hopefully returning to some normality by summer 2021. This means if the vaccination programme and the infection rate remains low we will be able to start to travel again. We will keep you posted.
Since the start of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Vietnam has closely monitored the situation and installed a series of proactive, comprehensive measures to combat the spread of the virus within the country.
Only Vietnamese nationals, foreigners on diplomatic or official business, and highly skilled workers are allowed to enter the country at this time and there is also a 14-day quarantine upon arrival. To staunch the spread of COVID-19, Vietnam is not issuing visas to foreign nationals and has officially suspended all visa exemptions for citizens from the UK.
The UK Government are also placing a compulsory two week quarantine rule from Monday 8th June to any visitor returning or arriving from any country other that Ireland, this includes any transits through Ireland. With this restriction in place you will have to stay at home for an extra two weeks on returning back to the UK.
We understand how hard it is for you to prepare for your adventure and wish we could offer some clear guidance however as you know, measures will only be lifted when the infection rate reduces which makes firm predictions difficult.
