rd May - Meet the team: As we gather for our first evening together, you'll have the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers—like-minded riders who share a passion for exploration and the open road. Over a hearty dinner, we’ll exchange introductions, share stories, and get to know one another, building camaraderie that will last throughout the trip.
This evening is more than just a meet-and-greet; it's a chance to set the tone for the adventure ahead. We’ll review the route, discuss highlights of the journey, and prepare for the unforgettable experiences awaiting us on the NC500. Rest assured, every detail is taken care of so you can focus on enjoying the ride

th May - Day one: Our adventure truly begins as we leave our overnight and set out on a stunning ride through the heart of Scotland. The route to Oban takes us through a tapestry of landscapes—rolling hills, serene lochs, and quaint villages—all showcasing the natural beauty and charm of the Scottish Lowlands and Highlands. Arriving in Oban, known as the "Gateway to the Isles," you’ll be greeted by the fresh sea breeze and the bustling charm of this picturesque port town. Oban’s vibrant waterfront is alive with the sounds of fishing boats, seagulls, and the chatter of locals and travellers alike.

th May - Day two: Today’s journey takes us along one of Scotland’s most iconic routes, skirting the shores of the legendary Loch Ness before reaching the historic town of Dornoch, where we’ll rest like royalty in a castle for the night. Our journey winds through the Highlands, offering breathtaking views of mist-shrouded hills and serene lochs. As we approach Loch Ness, keep your eyes peeled—though Nessie sightings are rare, the sheer beauty of the surroundings is guaranteed to captivate. We’ll pause along the way for photo opportunities and a chance to visit Urquhart Castle, a historic ruin perched on the edge of the loch. The combination of medieval history and the allure of Nessie makes this a highlight of the day.

th May - Day three: Leaving the regal comforts of Dornoch, we ride north toward one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks: John o’ Groats, the northernmost point of mainland Britain. The open road ahead promises stunning coastal views, intriguing stops, and plenty of adventure as we explore the rugged beauty of Scotland’s northern coastline. Take a moment to celebrate this milestone with a group photo at the iconic sign. The windswept cliffs and endless sea views remind us of the wild beauty of Scotland’s edge. As the sun sets over the northern seas, enjoy a hearty meal and reflect on a day filled with iconic landmarks, stunning scenery, and unforgettable moments on the road. The adventure continues tomorrow as we delve deeper into Scotland’s untamed beauty

th May - Day four: As the road stretches on, the landscape becomes ever more rugged and remote. The towering mountains of Assynt rise dramatically from the earth, their unique shapes and ancient geology a wonder to behold. The area’s sparse population and unspoiled beauty make it feel like a world apart. By late afternoon, we roll into the picturesque fishing town of Ullapool, nestled on the shores of Loch Broom. This vibrant harbour town is our stop for the night, offering a chance to relax after a day of exhilarating riding. Enjoy fresh seafood straight from the boats, explore the quaint streets, or simply unwind by the water as the sun sets over the loch. Ullapool’s welcoming charm and stunning setting make it a highlight of the journey. Rest well, for tomorrow, the NC500 continues to deliver even more of Scotland’s natural wonders as we ride toward the Isle of Skye.

th May - Day five: Departing the charming harbour town of Ullapool, we continue southward through the rugged and awe-inspiring landscapes of the Highlands, bound for the enchanting Isle of Skye. This leg of the journey is a feast for the senses, with every mile offering stunning views and unforgettable experiences. One of the most exhilarating sections of the North Coast 500 is the ascent and descent of Bealach na Bà, often referred to as the "Pass of the Cattle." This iconic mountain pass takes us through the stunning Applecross Peninsula, offering some of the most breathtaking views in Scotland.

th May - Day six: After soaking in the wild beauty of Skye, we continue our journey south, crossing onto the mainland by ferry and heading toward Fort William, the adventure capital of the Highlands. This leg of the trip offers both breathtaking landscapes and a nod to cinematic history, especially as we pass through areas featured in the iconic James Bond film Skyfall. The road winds its way past the stunning Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, whose imposing presence will make you feel the true scale of Scotland’s natural grandeur.

th May - Day seven: Our route back south will take us through some of the most scenic parts of Scotland, with winding roads that offer sweeping views of Loch Lomond, the rolling hills of Trossachs National Park, and tranquil farmland. This stretch of road will feel like a gentle farewell to the Highlands, giving us one final taste of the region’s wild beauty.

st May - Day eight: After enjoying a hearty breakfast by the estuary in Annan, we take a moment to savour the peaceful morning views, reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared. With the sea breeze on our faces and the memory of the open road fresh in our minds, it’s time to bid farewell to this charming coastal town. As we gear up and prepare for the final leg of our trip, the feeling is bittersweet—home awaits, but the adventure has left a lasting mark.
